Lieutenant James Henry Milligan, 58th Vaughan’s Rifles (Frontier Force), was killed in action in France on 25 September 1915, aged 29 years. Millighan was mentioned in despatches (London Gazette 1 January 1916). He was the husband of Edith Milligan of Moray Place, Edinburgh. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Neuve-Chapelle Memorial.
