A. C. Shaw served as a Private in the H.A.C., entering the France / Flanders theatre of war on 20 September 1914. He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the 24th (County of London) Battalion London Regiment on 25 January 1917. Entitled to a clasp and the Silver War Badge.
