Frederick George Davis was born in Charlton Kings, Gloucestershire and enlisted at Bristol. Serving with the 1st Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, he entered the France / Flanders theatre of war on 13 August 1914. He was killed in action on 30 October 1914. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
