Major Stephen John Burton, 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards was killed in action 20 July 1917, aged 34 years. He was buried in the Canada Farm Cemetery. He was the son of Alfred H. and Ellen A. Burton of St. Leonards-on-Sea.
