Sold with verification for the Ashantee 1873-74 Medal, but a search of the East and West Africa rolls for the ‘1893-94’ and ‘Sierra Leone 1898-99’ clasps has not located a man by this name in the 1st or 2nd Battalions of the West India Regiment; it is possible, of course, that he had transferred to another unit.
