William Kay was born in Bethnal Green, London and enlisted at Stratford, Essex. Serving with the 6th Battalion Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry, he was killed in action, France / Flanders, on 12 August 1915. He was buried at Ypres Reservoir Cemetery.

Serjeant W. Cruickshank, Gordon Highlanders was discharged on 4 April 1918 and was entitled to a Silver War Badge.
