Arthur William Victor Hendy was born on 24 January 1900; first commissioned on 15 April 1919 on Unattached List for Indian Army; attached to 57th Wilde’s Rifles F.F. on 21 April 1919; Lieutenant, 15 April 1920; attached to 13th Frontier Force Rifles in 1922, and appointed to the South Waziristan Scouts on 9 January 1923; retired with gratuity on 2 November 1923.
