A.L.S. by Luke Hansard, printer to the House of Commons, to J.C. Herries. Addressed “Sir” and datelined “Aug. 2 1820.” Reports that the plans to improve the banks of the river were much in keeping with the design by Sir Christopher Wren for the rebuilding of the City of London following the great fire of 1666. 11.5 x 18.5cm (double). A few folds and faint stain on back, otherwise clean (£80-100)
