Document in a secretarial hand, date-lined "Mint Office 24 Feby 1824,” paper watermarked ‘1822.’ “An account of the quantity of gold & silver monies coined at His Majesty's Mint in each year since the peace. Also the rate per cent at which the expense of the gold coinage is estimated.” Lists the nominal value of gold and silver monies coined for each year from 1816 to 1823 and estimates the cost at approximately 3/4 per cent. Brief annotation in Herries' hand at the foot (pencil) and back page (ink), made probably during his tenure as Master of the Royal Mint, 1828-1830. 19.8 x 31.5cm (double). Three folds, clean (£200-300)
