Malta, Malta Relieved by the Spanish Fleet, 1565, a bronze jeton, galley sailing left, Victory on prow, melita liberata, rev. tvrca fvgato, knight on horseback left, date below, numerals widely spaced, 28mm, 3.47g/12h (Milford Haven 651; v.L. I, 69/1; Feuardent 13731; Schembri 2; Furse p.381). Flan flaws, about fine, very rare (£60-80)

Several specimens are known, including one in the Malta National Museum, a nice example formerly in the Baron von Mackensen Collection (Spink Auction 40, December 1984, lot 897), and two others in private hands in Malta
