Anne (1702-1714), Crown, 1708, plumes, edge SEPTIMO (ESC 108; S 3602). Slight wear to the high points, otherwise extremely fine, toned (£500-600)

In Anne’s reign, most of the silver for the coinage of the Mine Adventurers, marked with the plume of feathers, came from Flintshire and Derbyshire, rather than from the Cardiganshire silver mines (BNJ 1993, p.80)
