James II (1685-1688), Sixpence, 1687, later shields over early shields (ESC 1526c; S 3413). Practically as struck with attractive blue-grey tone, very rare thus (£500-600)

The alteration of the shields is not as clear as on some extant specimens, but is apparent on close inspection of the tops of the French and Irish arms
