John Angus McLachlan, 64, died October 24, 1975 at Ottawa, Ont. He was born January 28, 1911 at Moose Jaw, Sask. and joined the R.C.M.P. on July 10, 1933 and served at Depot, “N” and “H” Divisions until he enlisted in the Mo. 1 Provost Company on April 23, 1941. He was sent to England, but returned to Canada, rejoining the R.C.M.P. on June 17, 1942. He was promoted to corporal on May 1, 1951 and to sergeant November 1, 1956 and retired to pension on May 12, 1962 holding that rank. During his service he was stationed at Regina, Sask.; Rockville and Ottawa, Ont., and Halifax, Kentville and Windsor, N.S. Sold with copied gazette, obituary notice and group photograph.
