Orders, Decorations, Medals and Militaria

An interesting collection of 71 Great War German, Russian, Turkish, Serbian, Greek, French, and Bulgarian military buttons mostly identified on cards, some with printed heading ‘British India Steam Navn. Co. Ltd.  H.M.H.S Neuralia’ [His Majesty’s Hospital Ship].  Most cards have on reverse ‘Roman Catholic Services (in the Smoke Room) Sundays Mass 5.30 and 7.30 AM, Rosary 6 PM. Chaplain: Rev. P. E. Hook (Cabin 24)’. Another visiting card inscribed ‘Rev. H. A. Barnett R.C. Chaplain To Forces, Ampleforth Abbey, Yorks.’ It would seem that the collection was put together from wounded Prisoner of War and Allied soldiers and sailors by either Chaplain Hook or Chaplain Barnett, good condition for age (parcel) £140-£200
