Indian Mutiny 1857-59, no clasp (Fredk. Noak [sic], 1st. Bn. 20th. Regt.) edge bruising, very fine £160-£200

Frederick Noake was born in Sherborne, Dorset, on 6 December 1838, and attested for the 20th Regiment and Foot in December 1855. He served with them in India during the Great Sepoy Mutiny, before transferring to the 49th Regiment of Foot on 24 October 1866, and was discharged on 19 January 1869, after 12 years and 35 days’ service.
