Andrew Lawrie was born in Middlesex in 1890 and served during the Great War with the 2nd (City of London) Battalion, London Regiment on the Western Front from 6 January 1915. He transferred to the Royal Flying Corps on 8 September 1917 in the rank of Air Mechanic 2nd Class and served with them and their successor, the Royal Air Force, throughout the remainder of the war. He was discharged on 30 April 1920.

Harry Bush was born in 1895 in St. John’s Wood, London and served as an Air Mechanic Class 2 with the Royal Naval Air Service during the Great War from 11 August 1915. He was advanced Acting Air Mechanic Class 1 on 30 April 1917 and transferred to the Royal Air Force upon its formation on 1 April 1918. He was transferred to the R.A.F. Reserve on 4 March 1919.

Charles Edwin Bryant was born in West Ham, Essex in 1894 and served as an Air Mechanic Class 2 with the Royal Naval Air Service during the Great War from 6 November 1916. He was advanced to Air Mechanic Class 1 on 3 August 1917 and transferred to the Royal Air Force upon its formation on 1 April 1918. He was transferred to the R.A.F. Reserve on 24 May 1919.

Leonard Cartwright Deville was born in Brockwell Park, London in 1886 and served as Air Mechanic Class 2 with the Royal Naval Air Service during the Great War from 14 August 1916. He transferred to the Royal Air Force upon its formation on 1 April 1918. He was transferred to the R.A.F. Class ‘G’ Reserve on 29 July 1919 and was discharged on 30 April 1920.
