A.S.C.); Defence Medal; Coronation 1953; Special Constabulary Long Service Medal, G.V.R., 1st issue, with 2 Additional Long Service Bars, dated 1945 and 1955 (David W. Gee) mounted as worn; together with the recipient’s riband bar, generally very fine

St. John Service Medal, silver (2486. Asst. Comr. C. A. Coventon. M.R.C.S. (C. of Sussex ) No.6 Dist. S.J.A.B.1922) in box of issue, good very fine (9) £100-£140

George Foster McLeary was employed as an Assistant Inspector in Glasgow, and was awarded his Imperial Service Medal in 1959 (London Gazette 17 March 1959).

C. A. Coverton served as a Captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps during the Great War (although his M.I.C. states that he was ineligible for any Great War Medals), and was appointed a Knight of Grace of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem in 1926 (London Gazette 22 June 1926).
