Adam McDonald a native of Dykehead, Lanarkshire. He served during the Great War with the Royal Field Artillery in the French theatre of war from 24 July 1915. McDonald was killed in action on the Western Front, 23 May 1918, and is buried in the Ecoivres Military Cemetery, Mont-St.-Eloi, France.
