Stanley Wilson was born in Bingley, Yorkshire and served with the 6th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment during the Great War. He was killed in action on the Western Front on 22 August 1917; he has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
