Harold George Tabernacle, a native of Potters Bar, Middlesex, served with the 1st Battalion, County of London Yeomanry (Middlesex Hussars) in the Balkan theatre of War from 15 April 1915, and subsequently with the Military Mounted Police as part of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force. He died of malaria in Egypt on 3 November 1918, and is buried in Alexandria (Hadra) War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
