Reginald George Davenport was the son of H. G. S. Davenport of Canonbury, London. He served during the Great War with the 1/1st London Heavy Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery on the Western Front (entitled to BWM and VM). Davenport died of wounds on the Western Front, 12 September 1916, and is buried in St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France.
