Edward Hawkins attested for the Berkshire Yeomanry, and served with them during the Great War in the Balkan theatre of War from 6 November 1915, before becoming on of the 35 men from the unit who transferred to the Imperial Camel Corps (Reading Mercury 8 July 1916 refers). He subsequently served with the Worcestershire Yeomanry.

Percy Edward Lock was born in Worthing, Sussex, and attested for the Royal Field Artillery. He served with the 28th Brigade during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 17 October 1918. He is buried in Kortrijk (St. Jan) Communal Cemetery, Belgium.
