Ian Samuel was born in 1967 and enlisted in the Royal Corps of Transport on 15 April 1985 at Merthyr Tydfil. He served with them overseas during Operation Granby (Gulf War) from 19 January 1991 to 8 April 1991. Remaining in the rank of Private, Samuel transferred to the Royal Logistic Corps on 5 April 1993 and was discharged on 31 October 1994 after completing 9 years and 200 days’ service.

Sold together with the recipient’s Certificate of Service Red Book and two regimental cap badges.
