William Allen, cordwainer, 36 Chandos street. Salter & Co, hatters, originally at 4 and 8 King street, Tower Hill, moved to 47 Charing Cross in 1793 and in the 1794 directories are also shown at 106 Ratcliff Highway and 136 Whitechapel; the business later restyled Thomas Frederick Salter & Co. John Ching, quack doctor, 4 Cheapside, later Ching and Butler. Robert Heslop, coin and curio dealer, 86 Chiswell street, moved to 7 Beech lane, Barbican
c. 1809 and later to 62 Whitecross street (see also footnote to lot 1395)
