Maurice Edwin Mann was born in Thursley, Surrey and enlisted at Guildford, Surrey, Serving initially with the Lancers, then with the 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, he died of wounds, France / Flanders, 1 December 1916, aged 25 years. He was buried in the Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.
