Sold with a 19th (Western) Division B.E.F. Christmas card for 1916 from the recipient to his parents; his Transfer to Reserve on Demobilization Certificate 1919 and his Certificate of Identity.

James Parish was born in 1892 and enlisted into the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry on 4 September 1914. Serving in France and Flanders with the Wiltshire Regiment, he was transferred to the Army Reserve in 1919. He was authorized to wear four Blue Chevrons and one Wound Stripe.
