Private Kamwendo was born in the village of Malika in the district of Chikala and was of the Mpatala Tribe. He enlisted at Zomba in August 1905. He served in the operations against the Merehan Tribe 1913-14. During the Great War he served in German East Africa and was wounded in action. Sold with copied service papers.
