Corporal W. Sutcliffe is mentioned for his prowess at Rugby in an article in the The Bugle of 17 December 1897, which states that as a Forward he was ‘Pluck personified, follows up and tackles like a demon - has one little fault, cannot resist a kick on occasions.’ Sold with some service details and a reproduced photograph of the recipient.
