Russian Artillery Crimean Period a very fine and rare silver plated officer’s helmet plate c1840-1860, the thin die stamped plate displays the crowned double headed eagle grasping a laurel wreath with one foot and fused torcheres with the other, the curved panel below with applied fused grenade (approx 16.3cm x 16.5cm), the cross from the orb of the crown missing, one fixing blade to the grenade detached but present, one of the seven helmet fixing blades missing, only very slight wear to the plating (1) £200-300
