69th (South Lincolnshire) Regiment, a fine and rare officer’s shoulder belt plate c1826-1855 (Parkyn 339), the rectangular gilt back plate overlaid with a silver beaded star, upon this crowned laurel sprays bear the battle honours, Waterloo Ava Bourbon India, centrally upon a domed silver disc gilt numerals LXIX, unit title South Lincoln Regt in surround, the leather backing inscribed ‘A E McGregor’ (9.5cm x 7.6cm) requires cleaning but in sound and excellent condition (1) £700-800
