Taplow Troop of Yeomanry (Bucks), a very rare officer’s undress sabretache circa 1827-71, the black leather 31.5cm front panel ‘pointed’ base and applied gilt metal ornament, being script capitals ‘TYC’ (13cm x 8cm), the black leather bag fitted with sabre retaining straps and bottom retention strap (stud missing), three gilt ‘D’ ring suspension loops, the frontal monogram fractured in two places and stitching faults to the bag section, front panel with crazing. £500-700

The Taplow Troop was formed in 1827 and remained independent. Latter retitled the South Bucks Yeomanry (Lancers), the corps was disbanded in 1871.
