Archibald Mackenzie was born at Bootle, Lancashire and enlisted at Liverpool. He was killed in action Persian Gulf on 13 February 1916, whilst serving with the 1st Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders. His name is commemorated on the Basra Memorial, Iraq.
