M.M. London Gazette 12 December 1917.

Warrant Officer L. J. Hansell was awarded the M.M. whilst serving as a Corporal in J. Battery R.H.A. On 5 October 1917, Corporal Hansell and Sergeant Burnham were reported in the war diaries, when, during a heavy barrage, they ‘did very good work’ in putting out a fire when some ammunition was hit.
