William Thomas Matthew Rowe was born in 1893; living in India, he entered the Indian Army in 1914 and was commissioned in November 1917. He retired from the service in 1923 but rejoined in 1939, serving throughout the War. For his services he was mentioned in despatches (London Gazette 19 September 1946). Sold with some service details.
