George Vinden Parton was born in Albrighton, Wolverhampton and attested for the Grenadier Guards in 1880, aged 21 years. After serving with the regiment in Egypt he was discharged in 1886. He joined the City of London Police later the same year and served witrh them until 1914. Sold with some service details.
