78th (Rough Riders) Company Imperial Yeomanry.

Ernest Claud Clarke was born in Bury St. Edmonds. By trade a cabinet salesman, he attested for the Imperial Yeomanry on 15 May 1900, aged 21 years. He served with the Rough Riders, 78th Company, 20th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa between 15 April 1900 and 25 August 1901. Sold with copied service papers.
