24th (Westmorland and Cumberland) Company Imperial Yeomanry.

William Douglas Phillips was born near Carlisle, Cumberland. A farmer, he attested for the Imperial Yeomanry on 20 Martch 1900. He served with the 24th (Westmorland & Cumberland) Company, 8th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa between 14 April and 14 September 1900. Sold with copied service papers.
