Frederick Philip Pierrepont Rouse was born on 4 March 1876 at The Rectory, Woodbridge, Suffolk, the fourth son of Rev. R. C. M. Rouse, Rector of Woodbridge, 1870-87 and Rayleigh, 1887-1904. Rouse joined the Indian Army in 1896 and saw service on the Punjab Frontier with the Tochi Column. Promoted Captain in 1904, he died in 1924. Sold with some service details and a copy of the Death Certificate.
