Charles I (1625-1649), Oxford mint, Halfcrown, 1644, mm. Oxford plume on obv., Briot’s horseman, Oxford plume behind king, grassy ground line below, three Oxford plumes above Declaration, date in small figures and ox below, both between pellets, 14.78g/8h (Bull 619; Morr. I-14; cf. SCBI Brooker 906; N 2425; S 2958/2965). On an very irregular flan, very fine and probably much as struck £300-£400
