Four: Sergeant (Musician) F. R. Burns, Welsh Guards, late Royal Horse Guards and Royal Artillery

1939-45 Star; France and Germany Star; Defence and War Medals, nearly extremely fine (4) £40-60

Sold with three identity disks and a brass identity bracelet; Welsh Guards collar badge and a quantity of original documentation and photographs, including two Regular Army Certificates of Service, Testimonial Certificate, attestation paper and release leave certificate.

Felix Robert Burns was born in Carlisle in Cumberland in 1911 and was by trade a musician. Having enlisted into the Royal Horse Guards as a musician prior to 1930, he served during the Second World War in the Royal Artillery. He was discharged in 1946 but the following year he re-enlisted in the Welsh Guards.
