It is believed that James Cox, serving with the Norfolk Regiment, died of wounds on 17.10.1944, aged 33 years. He was buried in the Venray War Cemetery. His father’s British War and Victory Medals with Memorial Plaque (Private H. J. Cox, Welsh Regiment) were sold by D.N.W. on 4.12.2002, lot 1087.
