John Ogilvie Colleston Ritchie was originally commissioned into the Royal Engineers (T.A.) as a 2nd Lieutenant in July 1938. He was advanced to Lieutenant in January 1941 and to Temporary Captain in January 1942.

Sold with two original wartime portrait photographs, both inscribed by the recipient.
