Four: Private G. G. Dalbock, 1st Royal Natal Carbineers

1939-45 Star; Africa Star; War Medal 1939-45; Africa Service Medal, all officially named (144782 G. G. Dalbock) good very fine (4) £40-60

Gustav Gottlieb Dalbock served in North Africa with the 1st Royal Natal Carbineers. He was admitted to the 10th South African Field Ambulance on 21.2.1941 suffering from minor abrasions and small splinter wounds. From there he was transferred to No.4 General Hospital and then on 11.9.1941 to the Pretoria General Hospital, with ‘numerous shrapnel wounds in both legs and hurt left ear drum with shrapnel removed from eye’. He was discharged from the Army on 15.12.1943. Sold with copied service records.
