Hugh Michael O'Connor Dwyer, a 2nd Lieutenant, 4th Battalion Connaught Rangers in 1902, promoted Lieutenant in 1904 and Captain in 1907. Re-appointed Captain in July 1914. He joined the 1st Battalion Connaught Rangers in Mesopotamia in May 1916.
