2nd Lieutenant Hugh Delaine Sampson was born in Water Newton, Peterborough. Serving with the 21st Reserve Park, Army Service Corps he died of wounds, 2.9.1917, aged 42 years. He was buried at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Poperinge, West-Vlanderen, Belgium.
