A very rare Great War trio and plaque to Nursing Sister Alice Violet Hallam, 541 Voluntary Aid Detachment, St John’s Ambulance Brigade, who died in France on 18 December 1916

1914-15 Star (V.A.D.); British War and Victory Medals (V.A.D.); together with ‘She died for freedom and honour’ memorial plaque (Alice Violet Hallam) nearly extremely fine (4) £2000-2500

Nursing Sister Alice Violet Hallam died in France and Flanders on 18 December 1916 whilst serving with 541 Voluntary Aid Detachment, St John’s Ambulance Brigade. She is buried at Etaples Military Cemetery, France.
