George Frederick Couchman was born in Benenden, Kent and enlisted at Cranbrook, Kent. Serving with the 8th Battalion The Queen’s Regiment, he was killed in action, France / Flanders, 21.3.1918, aged 20 years. His name is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France. Sold with damaged commemorative scroll mounted on card.
