1939-45 Star; Italy Star; France and Germany Star; Defence Medal, silver; Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, with overseas clasp; War Medal 1939-45, silver, all unnamed, in card boxes of issue, extremely fine (9) £100-140

Medals to Private H. G. Dickens sold with the recipient’s Services Rendered Badge, reverse numbered, ‘C.1864’, identity disk, Royal Montreal Regiment badges (4), three other badges and Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Forces Discharge Certificate. Herbert George Dickens enlisted in the 23rd Battalion on 5.11.1914. After serving overseas with that unit he was returned to Canada and discharged at Montreal on 31.5.1917 as a consequence of being medically unfit. After discharge his address was given as Rosemount, Montreal.

Medals to Private H. Dickens sold with the recipient’s Canadian Army (Active) Discharge Certificate, riband bar, cloth badges (4), including two ‘Carlton York Regt. shoulder badges and a group photograph including Dickens. Horace Dickens enlisted in the Canadian Infantry Corps at Montreal on 29.8.1940. After service in Europe he was discharged on 17.10.1945.
