Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (Lieutt. Richd. Weld Litton, 31st Regt.) contemporary engraved naming; Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian issue, a contemporary tailor’s copy (R. Litton, Capn. XXX Regt.) together with related miniature medals and the central mount from the regimental shoulder-belt plate, battle honours to ‘Sevastopol’ and ‘Taku Forts’, the reverse complete with all mounting lugs, all contained in a contemporary fitted case, the lid embossed ‘Captain Richard Litton, 31st Regiment 1855’, generally very fine or better (5) £500-600
Captain Richard Weld Litton served with the 31st Regiment in the Crimea from 22nd May 1855, including the siege of Sebastopol and attacks on 18th June and 8th September.
