Boer War Interest a wooden frame mounted with a silver plated plaque this shows in relief a wounded but armed and defiant British soldier, his pith helmet lying on the ground, the plaque entitled, ‘A gentleman in kharki’, top frame detached but present; a good quality deep bowled rosewood smoker’s pipe, the bowl carved with various battle names and dates all around a recessed shield design bearing a portrait of Paul Kruger, and owner’s details, ‘O.Kempson 1st R.W.F. Regt’, top part of stem in black vulcanite; a cased pair of binoculars (faults) the case with outer ivory plaque ‘WA Jones’ , the remains of a paper label inside the case states WA Jones/Post...876/Pretoria South Africa’; Boer War ‘trench art’ eleven small pieces of slate in various forms carved or part carved with various memorial details; a cased set of three Medical College certificates 1868-1873, (a parcel) £30-40
